Kerry Harris has been promoted to president, Weber Shandwick Worldwide in Canada, where she will oversee the public relations company's offices in Toronto, Calgary, Ottawa and Vancouver.

Harris, a veteran executive in the communications industry, joined Weber Shandwick in May/06 as executive vice-president and has been instrumental in expanding the firm's business and applying new PR tools to clients’ business objectives.

Raymond L. Kotcher senior partner and chief executive officer at Ketchum, has named Senior Partner Rob Flaherty as President of Ketchum. The highly regarded public relations giant ranks as one of the largest public relations agencies in the world and operates offices in more than 50 countries. Flaherty will assume the position on August first and will report to Kotcher. Flaherty currently serves as managing director of the firms New York office and acts as senior partner for global practices. According to Kotcher, “Rob Flaherty has a reputation throughout the industry as a respected counselor and strategist and is recognized for his keen insights.”
Flaherty, who was a finalist for PRWeek's 2007 PR Professional of the Year and was named one of 15 "Leading Lights" in the industry by the magazine in 2003, has been with the firm since 1989.

Bruce Sinclair, one of Canada’s major digital creatives, has joined Rethink, Vancouver, as group creative director and partner.

Sinclair has 15 years of experience as a creative director, working at agencies including MacLaren McCann, Blast Radius, Tribal DDB and, most recently as owner of Burnkit. His clients have included, among others, Nike, Sony Playstation, Lego and General Motors, and he has won numerous national and international awards. Sinclair has also served on the juries of such awards shows as Cannes Lions, London International Advertising Awards, Applied Arts and most recently as co-chair of the 2007 Digital Marketing Awards.

Sinclair has earned the reputation of being focused on the work and has never been afraid to ask the hard questions, or to push hard to make it great.
